Fashion has always been a big part of my life, starting when I was a little girl playing with dolls. As a teenager, I discovered a real talent for cutting fabrics and began making dresses from scratch. Fabrics, patterns, textures, colors and designs are my absolute passion... and when I became a mom, I found out what I love most (apart from my children!) is creating outfits for children that are stylish, with a touch of sophistication.

My journey within the children's fashion industry has led me down many paths. I've designed and manufactured my own collection, have had my own stores in New York and Connecticut for over 20 years, and founded AB Showroom in 2009. Having worked between Europe and America, I gained a great understanding of the subtle differences between the European and North American markets and cultures, which has been a true strength every step of the way.

Having been immersed in children's fashion since before I could talk, it feels like it's woven into my very being, making it a natural fit for my career. My travels and expatriations to cities in America, Europe and Asia have sparked my love for colors, prints, fabrics and trends and given me the tools to fully embrace the diversity, uniqueness and quality of the brands and stores our team collaborates with.

As the lucky mother of two amazing third culture individuals, I'm constantly inspired by the fun and playfulness of this industry! After several years at AB Showroom, I also value the luxury of being part of a family-run business that is committed to strong ethics.

AIDA GUTIERREZ

My family has always been part of the textile world; I can still see my grandfather weaving away in the factory. Everyone in Terrassa, where I was born, was connected to the industry somehow because we were surrounded by textile factories. Fashion has always been a part of me.

I began my career with the Inditex group quite early on, working at Stradivarius, Zara, and Massimo Dutti. These roles really shaped me, teaching me perseverance, organisational skills, and a passion for the ever-evolving world of fashion.

After that, I really fell in love with children’s fashion while working for a beautiful brand. I got to see how much designers put into their work, how the creation process works, and how customers value their products. My passion only grew stronger when my twins, Leo and Abril, were born. After working closely with AB SHOWROOMS for nearly six years, I’m so excited to begin this new journey with the perfect team.
